Kim & Tim :: Wedding & Reception in Northport, Maine
I first "met" Kim when she emailed me back in March of this year. She immediately referenced her amazing Pinterest wedding board and she instantly had me hooked. I just HAD to photograph her wedding to Tim! The two lovebirds and their super adorable little boy Jack call Brooklyn home these days, but chose to come to Maine to tie the knot at Bayview Farms, a rental property on the shore in Northport, Maine. Prior to the big day, I had visited their website stalked Kim's Pinterest boards like crazy and chatted up a storm with her. But none of that would have prepared me for arriving at the site the day of. Oh. My. Goodness. To say that it was 100% Kim's vision would be an understatement. It was bloody amazing!
The home itself could not have been more perfect for this DIY goddess. Every where you looked, Kim decked it out with the most gorgeous paper goods and details I have ever seen. She made TONS of paper chains that draped across the windows and the gift table, hung from their ceiling in the "dance party" room, and just about everywhere you looked. She also made tons of the smallest paper chains I have seen in my life and used them in their cake topper as well as in the bird cage that Jack carried with their rings in it. The bouquets were made by Kim and her lovely bridesmaids with flowers from the local farmers market (LOVE THAT!). The cake and all of the cupcakes surrounding it were also done by Kim with the help from friends. And, drumroll please, Kim even made her own wedding dress! I know, I know. She's officially the queen of the DIY wedding. When asked about how hard it was to sew her own dress, she nonchalantly replied that it wasn't too hard, just throw a couple patterns together. *sigh* If only it were that easy for DIY mortals like me.
And thus is the foundation for the day. Everything was so absolutely perfect. The location, the details, the food... I really don't think they could have asked for a better day. The ceremony was conducted in the backyard, overlooking the ocean with all of the friends gathered around them. After sealing the deal with a couple kisses and capturing portraits with their family and bridal party, we hit the coastline to go throw rocks with Jack (and capture photos of the adorable threesome in the process). The lighting was to die for as was their cuteness. I dare say I have some new favorite photos from these three! The rest of the night was spent celebrating their new union in grand fashion with a delicious clambake, amazing cupcakes, and a dance floor that kept hoping long after I left. Oh, and a little celebrating for Pirates Day just for Kim's mom, who was missing out of the festivities of her favorite "holiday" back home. It was such an absolutely amazing day.
Kim, Tim & Jack, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so completely honored to have captured your day for you. You three are so adorable. And, Jack, don't grow up to fast! You are perfect just the way you are, you adorable little redhead.
All of Kim & Tim's photos are posted in their gallery, but you'll need the password from the newlyweds in order to see them and order printed goodies. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek from their wedding day. To see more, be sure to head over to my Facebook page and hit the “Like” button!
