Shawna & Sam's Intimate Sebago Lake Wedding in Standish, Maine
As I wrap up Shawna & Sam’s full wedding gallery for them, it’s about time that I shared their full sneak peek here on my blog. Suffice to say that the past month since their intimate wedding has been more than a little crazy between finishing up my second graduate degree and then adjusting our family to life back in the classroom for the first time since March. Phew! I am looking forward to some sense of normalcy this fall.
Back at the beginning of August, Shawna & Sam revised their original wedding plans from a larger gathering to one that was more intimate with their immediate family. But their story started way back before they even stepped foot into a classroom when they met as youngster. They spent their youth going to school together and walking the same hallways for years before they became a couple. To say they have stories to tell of their time together would be an understatement. I loved getting to know them, watching the way Sam’s eyes sparkled when he looked at Shawna and how radiantly Shawna would smile when she even mentioned Sam. Being around them on their wedding day just brought a massive smile to my face (even if you couldn’t see it behind my mask).
After all of their preparations were finished, Shawna & Sam were married next to Sebago Lake at a family camp that is very special to the both of them. There was laughter. And a few tears. And some show stealing by their nephew. WIth their vows exchanged and their union sealed with a kiss, the newlyweds relaxed with their immediate family to enjoy the rest of the evening. From a round of croquet to a surprise video slideshow from their loved ones who were unable to attend (thanks, COVID), it was an awesome way to spend the rest of the day.
Shawna & Sam, thank you so much to having me capture your delightful union. It was such an incredible day!
