Sarah & Ray :: Wedding & Reception at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham, Maine
I first met Sarah & Ray, and their adorable furry son, over a cup of coffee. What struck me first about them is just how in love they are with each other. Ray's eyes light up when she looks at Sarah and Sarah absolutely glows when she looks at or talks about Ray. To say they love each other seems like such an understatement. It's like calling ice cream just a frozen treat (in my house it's a food group). I'm not sure there is a word for what these two feel for each other. And I think that anyone else there on that gorgeous day that they tied the knot would say the same thing. Sarah's smile was the most infectious, glowing smile I think I have ever seen. And one look at Ray's face whenever he looked at his bride and my knees just about gave out. *sigh* Oh, love! Much like their love, the day that they said "I do" was the definition of a dream wedding day. The sun was blazing, but the hilltop location of The Lucerne Inn allowed for the most glorious breeze; just enough to cool you off, but not to the point that you reached for a sweater. Sarah managed to hold back the tears as she put on the finishing touches before her trip down the aisle although a special gift from her parents almost put her over the edge. The ceremony, conducted by one of Ray's friends/coworkers, was personal and heartfelt from start to finish. After the formal portraits on the grounds of the Inn, the newlyweds and I escaped to Sunset Rock with their Matron of Honor and Best Man to capture some more personal shots with what I might just call the most amazing view I've ever had for portraits before in my life. It was so awesome! Back at the Inn, the incredibly amazing wedding coordinator from the Inn, Danielle, made sure the day ran as perfect as it possibly could. The catering staff from the Inn provided some of the most gorgeous plates of food ever (the filet was potentially the very best I've ever had!) and the mother of the groom created a GORGEOUS cake that I could smell the moment I arrived (yay for sugar and delicious flavors!). Jeff from MaineDJ.com Mobile DJ Services in Waterville kept the dance floor hoping all night long and drew in a bunch of "wedding crashers" that helped the couple celebrate the amazing day. From start to finish, it was nothing short of amazing.
Thank you, Sarah & Ray, for letting me play a part of your incredible day. I am so honored! I hope that you have had an amazing time in Saint Lucia! Be on the lookout for your photos to be ready shortly. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek from their wedding day. To see more, be sure to head over to my Facebook page and hit the “Like” button!
