Christie & Patrick :: Wedding at the Peter McKernan Hospitality Center in South Portland, Maine
Christie and Patrick were married at the Peter McKernan Hospitality Center on the Southern Maine Community College campus in South Portland, Maine. I first met the love birds over a cup of coffee and a french cruller. As they told me their story, the whole idea of opposites attracting was blaring in my head. They met in the Old Port on a New Year's Eve. Patrick was in a band and Christie was out celebrating with friends. He's a classic rocker while she'd rather blare the latest hits. She loves lots of mascara and lip gloss while his hair is normally just as wild as his faces while he plays the drums. And yet they fit together like peanut butter and jelly.
It might have been over 100 degrees the day before the wedding, but mother nature was on our side for the big day and brought in some [very slightly] cooler temperatures. From Christie's gorgeous flower in her hair (made from her dress after alterations were done) to her Matron of Honor Clare's speech and from Patrick's huge smile whenever he looked at Christie to the fabulous cake (from Let Them Eat Cake) and flowers (from Heather Caron Floral Design), I don't think the day could have been any more perfect at all.
