Flashback to Tarryn & Sean's Pemaquid Point Lighthouse & Round Top Farm Wedding
There are very few venues in New England that I have visited for weddings more than once; with the number that we have to chose from, I'm not surprised! But one of my favorite spots that I have returned to on several occasions would be the Damariscotta River Association's Darrows Barn at Round Top Farm in Damariscotta, Maine.
Tomorrow will bring me back there for the third time as Sara & Jason get hitched! I am so excited! And I can't help but think of my first Round Top Barn couple, Tarryn & Sean, and their wedding on August 28, 2010. It is hard to believe that they will be celebrating five years together next month.
Tarryn started her day by getting ready at the Bradley Inn in Bristol, Maine. It is a perfect coastal Inn close by to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse where they held their ceremony. Their friends & family gathered overlooking the ocean as the two lovebirds said their vows under a perfectly blue sky with puffy, white clouds. We took their portraits at the lighthouse; Tarryn, who is afraid of heights, even put up with my request to walk out onto a rock jutting towards the ocean so that I could capture one of my favorite photos to date.
Their rustic wedding reception was held at the Round Top Barn where they celebrated with the always incredible crooning of Joe Farren. With a gorgeous view of the sunset behind the barn and frolicking with the old, rusted Mac truck (which is now long gone), it certainly was a day I'll never forget. And I'm sure Tarryn & Sean would say the same.
Here is a look back at their amazing day (complete with a bit of tweaking). What a great day it was!
