A look back at Alex & Max’s wedding day in South Bristol and at Harmony Hill in Warren, Maine.
Read MoreIt’s been two years since Elizabeth & Abe’s wedding and yet it still feels like it was yesterday. Elizabeth & Abe prepared for their wedding at The Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine, surrounded by their loved ones. Everyone watched as torrential downpours came down while hitting refresh on the radar in their weather apps to ensure that it was going to clear. And it did! The ground may have been wet and a passing light shower did go over us… but the skies were blue with white fluffy clouds. It was gorgeous!

They celebrated their union with a Horrah during their reception in the Farm’s barn. Other vendors included Persnickety Bride, Delicious Thymes, Julia Rose Studios, Pete Kilpatrick Band, Blue Cloud Farm, Revive Salon and Skin Care, Fiddleheads & Finery, Atlantic Tent Co., and Maine Limousine Service.

Read MoreOh my goodness. Rikki & Collin’s seaside wedding was an absolute dream come true! And not just because I got to hang out with Collin’s family for the first time since Zach, his brother, married Autumn four years ago. The weather was absolutely perfect. Clear blue skies with an occasional fluffy white cloud. Rikki and her ladies enjoyed a relaxing morning of pampering. Collin & Zach handled the finishing touches of the day with a skilled team of their close friends. Smiles and laughter were plentiful. And there were only a few happy tears.
Read MoreYou know how I brighten up an otherwise dreary day? Wedding photos always make me smile! Especially when the bride is Sam, who I have known since she was a freshman in high school (and I was a very new teacher). I fondly referred to her and several of her classmates as my kids. So I was excited (and felt very old) when she reached out to me saying that she and Jeff were going to get hitched and she wanted me there to capture it. And my what a glorious day it was! Spending the morning with her gals and pup while she got ready to walk down the aisle results in many laughs at our shared memories.
Read MoreBack at the beginning of August, Shawna & Sam revised their original wedding plans from a larger gathering to one that was more intimate with their immediate family. But their story started way back before they even stepped foot into a classroom when they met as youngster. They spent their youth going to school together and walking the same hallways for years before they became a couple. To say they have stories to tell of their time together would be an understatement.

“Susie was our photographer for our wedding day and has photographed several of our family members' weddings as well. Susie was simply amazing! She had great communication with us prior to our big day and made sure all pictures went smoothly. Susie made us feel relaxed throughout the day and worked behind the scenes to capture the best, candid moments. We absolutely love our wedding photos. I highly recommend her as a photographer!”
Read MoreMegan & Ryan were married in an intimate ceremony on the patio at The Dockside Grill in Falmouth, Maine. Although the wind was brisk and there was a definite nip to the air, they were blessed with clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine. We gathered inside for their formal family portraits before the newlyweds and I bopped outside for a few brief moments for some quiet time for just the two of them while we captured some more formal portraits. After a delicious dinner, incredible desserts, and the kids built their Lego sets, we departed Falmouth and made our way to Rising Tide Brewing Company in Portland.

“Planning our wedding day photography with Suzanne and Alan was simple. They were on top of everything and made the day go smoothly. Meeting them the day of felt like we had already met, as they were both warm, friendly and prepared for everything!”
Read MoreI photographed Jen & Mike’s wedding this past spring in Connecticut, but it only makes sense to share it now as I prepare to head out for my last wedding of the 2019 season. Why you ask? Well, they are both connected to the same branch of my client family tree. My connection with Jen & Mike can be traced back to Jen & Jared’s wedding in June of 2012. And today’s wedding is also connected to Jen & Jared as it will be Jen’s brother getting married. So here we are. A season bookended by my couples connected to the same wedding. I. Love. It!
Read MoreOh, lovely day! With Marleni & Simeon’s gallery finished and the USB drive on its way to them today, I wanted to take a moment and end the week on a high note and look back at their incredible day a few weeks ago. I first connected with Simeon’s family 2.5 years ago when his brother, Dale, married Emily in Kennnebunkport. Since then, I have been very lucky to meet up with them for family portraits and consider all of them to be my friends. When I drove up to Sunday River for Marleni & Simeon’s wedding, the foliage absolutely took my breath away and I live here! If you could pick a day out of a weather book, it would be their day for sure. Light fluffy white clouds, vibrant blue sky, stunningly beautiful trees… sigh. I could go back to that day right now and be very happy.
Read MorePerhaps this post is coming to you months later because it simply took me that long to recover from it! Way back in July, I wore the most “hats” during a wedding that I think I will ever wear. Why? Because my “baby” sister got married! So I became the matron of honor, flower girl wrangler, and assistant to my rock star husband, Alan, who took over a lot of the lead photography for the day. All of Jen & Alex’s loved ones gathered for their wedding weekend and stayed at Snowvillage Inn in Eaton Center, New Hampshire together for a glorious mid-summer soiree. After spending the day prior lounging, play lawn games, and catching up, the Inn served as our based for preparations during the morning of the wedding. We were all beautifully coiffed by Jen’s longtime stylist, Meghan (who has since moved to Virginia. Boo!), before we donned our formal wear. Jen’s ladies wore their choice of navy blue dress and she wore an incredible dress from Andrea's Bridal that we looked long and hard for.
Read MoreI have a mental list of venues that, when I see them on in inquiry, instantly make me excited for the wedding. Some of them are there because I’ve worked there and love it so much. And others, such as Live Well Farm, are on that list because I’ve been wanting to work there for as long as I could remember. When Natasha & Case reached out to me about their upcoming nuptials at Live Well Farm, I was jumping for joy at the opportunity to capture a wedding on the property. From the garden ceremony to the gorgeous tented dinner to dancing in their immaculately restored barn, the entire estate is so inspiring to me!
