Jennifer & Jared :: Wedding at Bates College Chapel and Reception at Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, Maine
Back in August, I got together with Jennifer & Jared at Wolfe's Neck Farm in Freeport, Maine, to chat about their wedding plans and to take their engagement photos with their furry son, Sam. Fast forward 323 days and it was time for their wedding day! When they say that time flies, it certainly was the case with these two love birds. They came back to Jennifer's home state to tie the knot on a very steamy day day in June. Jennifer and her stunning ladies got ready at Sarah Jeanne's in Lewiston with a lot of smiling, a boat load of laughing, and even a few tears. After the primping had concluded, it was off to the amazing Bates College Chapel in Lewiston for their ceremony. Having never been in the Chapel before, I have to say that it certainly made me speechless. The detailed woodwork and the stunning stained glass complimented Jennifer & Jared's style so perfectly. The ceremony itself started with tears as Jennifer started down the aisle, brought looks of shock during the minister's sermon, and concluded with some of the biggest smiles I have ever seen as the newlyweds came back down the aisle. It was so perfect!
After a quick stop at the Veteran's Memorial Park for some groomsmen portraits, perfect for Jared being the history buff he is, and bridal party portraits by the falls we made out way to the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn to get the party started. Jennifer's sister and Jared's childhood friend toasted to memories of the years gone past complete with bowl cuts thanks to Jennifer's mom and backyard shananagains instigated by Jared. Needless to say, there was a LOT of laughing going on! Following the dances with their parents, Jennifer & Jared got the party started with the help of Jim from Premier Entertainment, who kept the dance floor packed all night long. It was an amazing day!
Jennifer & Jared, congratulations, once again, on your nuptials! It was an absolute honor to capture your day for you. I hope that you enjoyed your "mini-moon" here in Maine. You certainly had perfect weather for it!
