Michelle & Chris's Spring Wedding at The 1888 Barn
Michelle & Chris’s pretty in pink fairy day has been lurking in the wings here on my blog for a few weeks. But, as I get ready to send along their full gallery to them in the next few days, I knew it was time to relive the day here at last through their sneak peek. And oh my what a day it was! Truth be told, I’ve been looking forward to their wedding for over a year since they first contacted me and even more so since their engagement session last October.
Walking into Michelle’s room at the Bethel Inn just about took my breath away. From her gorgeous makeup to timeless hair (thanks to Hannah Garza) and then seeing her blush pink wedding dress… swoon! There might have been more than a few misty eyes at that point as the weight of the day hit all of us. With all of their details assembled, Chris & Michelle made their way to the historic Sunday River Artists’ Covered Bridge in Bethel for their intimate ceremony. With the river running beneath their feet, they proclaimed their love in front of their closest family and friends and officially became husband & wife at long last.
After capturing their formal portraits on and around the bridge, Alan and I followed the newlyweds to the 1888 Wedding Barn in Bethel for their awesome reception. Before being introduced, Michelle changed up her look to a form fitting, comfortable dress perfect for staying on the dance floor long into the night. Gourmet in a Pinch did their part by fueling their guests and keeping their tummies full. Although their dessert plans did not go as planned, one of their guests saved the day with a pile of goodies from Little Debbie. Everyone was smiling and cheering as mini donuts and oatmeal creme pies were tossed through the air across the barn. It was pretty hilarious and one wedding moment I won’t soon forget and I dare say their guest feel the same.
Michelle & Chris, thank you so very much for having Alan and I capture your amazing day. We had such a blast working with both of you! Here is a sneak peek of what you have to look forward to in your full gallery of images from the day. It was so hard to pick our favorites!
