Lexi & Chris's Summer Wedding in Standish, Maine

Is it just me or did summer just all of the sudden go POOF in the blink of an eye? My head is spinning! It felt like just yesterday we were suffering through the rainy, dreary spring and now the crisp air streaming through my windows feels a bit too much like fall and my kiddo is heading back to school this week. Please, summer, just come back!

And, while we’re dreaming of warmer days, lets take a look back at Lexi & Chris’s wedding at the beginning of August. The weather… perfect. Just the right amount of warmth. Poofy white clouds dotting a stunning blue sky. Oh, it was amazing. All of their hard work (and that of their family and friends) paid off in spades with a picture perfect wedding at Lexi’s mother & step-father’s house in Standish, Maine. The details were spot on in every way. Matching vows cards, hand lettered signs lining the aisle, wildflower seeds for their guests in adorable kraft envelopes, unique centerpieces for each table… they really outdid themselves!

But, beyond all of the incredible details, what will remain with me for years to come is watching Lexi & Chris together. I always take a step back after the ceremony and give the couple space to take it all in. They embraced and fit together so perfectly. No posing. No effort. Just love. In fact, my favorite photos of them from the entire day are from just this moment. Relaxed. In the shade. Nice and close. Very much in love. And they stuck by each others side the rest of the day. Finally married. (And very happy to have the planning behind them and a well deserved honeymoon in front of them.)
